Bookings & Cancellations...

It really is worth reading our booking terms:
Reservations can be made up to six months ahead.
 At lunchtime, we welcome children of any age and a limited number of dogs. Please advise of both dogs and children when booking.  At dinner, no dogs are permitted and, as the vast majority of guests – including parents – appreciate an adult-only setting, no children under 10 including babies are permitted.
Please make a note on your booking of all dietary preferences or needs, bearing in mind we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

Regrettably, your notes do not appear on the confirmation but they will be logged.

Credit card details are required for all bookings. The system will automatically make a charge of  30.00 per person if we do not receive at least 24 hours notice of fewer people arriving than we’re booked or cancellation.
A completed reservation is always followed by an automatically generated confirmation. If you do not receive this, first check your spam/junk folder. If it’s not there, please contact us as the booking will not have gone through on the system.
To cancel a booking please use the facility on the automatic confirmation and/or follow-up reminder or email us on info@watsonandwalpole.com. Please don’t use social media or a business-only email (unless monitored 24/7) as it doesn’t help!
We always try to honour a request for a specific table but cannot guarantee it, especially if you subsequently alter the time and/or numbers of your booking.
We present a complimentary cupcake with lighted candle to those celebrating a birthday or anniversary. (Traceability regulations mean customers’ own cakes may not be brought in.) We don’t do decorated plates, balloons, flowers, singing or any other razzmatazz.
